Anaesthesia for Children living with Obesity - Single Sheet Guideline 2024 update

The 2024 updated Paediatric SOBA guideline includes more specific recommendations for medication dosages and administration routes, emphasizes pre-oxygenation and airway management techniques, and provides detailed VTE prophylaxis guidelines.

It highlights the importance of maintaining SpO2 levels and usual PACU discharge criteria, clarifies the conditions for day case surgery, and stresses shared decision-making and positive communication. The newer version also recommends resources like www.paedspro.com for accurate drug dosing and includes additional references and QR codes for further information.
